Sewing Class: Quilting - French Braid Placemats - Tues., September 13 (9:30am. - 12:30pm.) – Cutting/Sewing; Tues., September 20 (9:30am. - 12:30pm.) – Sewing; Tues., September 27 (9:30am. - 12:30pm.) – Binding . Join Sharon Weddell to create a set of 4 placemats using the French Braid quilting pattern. Participants will be required to bring their own material and thread so they can match these to their home décor. Batting will be provided for the class.
Experienced sewers are welcome to bring your own sewing machine in good working order. Material requirements are as follows: 4 coordinating fabrics – 1 1/4 yard for backside of placemat, binding, and strips on the front. 1/2 yd. each for the 3 remaining coordinating fabrics. 1 spool of coordinating thread for piecing and quilting. Instructor is Sharon Weddell. Deadline to register and $20 is due September 6. Only 6 spots available.
